PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a container corpus and improve the lamp efficiency by decompressing the space region enveloped by the container corpus and a cover to vacuum or a pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure and forming a reflecting film on the surface of the cover. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a luminous container 1 is discharged to vacuum through a discharge pipe 14 and sealed with rare gas mainly consisting of excessive mercury and argon. A disk-like cover 15 is airtightly stuck along an opening 4 where the outer body 2 of the container and a container corpus 3 are joined together, and the interior of the space region 16 enveloped by the container corpus 3 and cover 15 is decompressed to vacuum or a pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure. In addition, a reflecting film 17 is formed on the surface of the cover 15, thus a function as a reflector is applied to the cover 15. |
