Saw blades for gang saws are provided with slots (5, 5', 5'') arranged at a distance one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the saw blade (1). To obtain particularly high tensile stresses in the region of their teeth (2) and at the same time prevent the formation of a so-called saw belly, the slots (5, 5', 5'') run in the longitudinal direction of the saw blade (1).
