In a dish-washing machine (1) having a washing container (2), there is a passage (4) in the bottom wall (3), in which passage the neck (6) of a drainage trough (7) engages. In order in this case to design the sealing arrangement in a simple manner, to allow the drainage trough to be inserted from below and to achieve a separation between the sealing function and the retaining function, an O-ring seal (9) is arranged in an annular groove (8) which is arranged on the inner surface of the passage (4) or in the cylindrical rim (5). The free circumferential edge (12) of the rim (5) is not drawn inwards, such that the neck (6) of the drainage trough (7) can be inserted from below. Safeguarding against axial displacement between the washing container (2) and the drainage trough (7) is undertaken by simple retaining pieces (13). <IMAGE>
