This appliance for hollowing out vegetable-like fruits comprises two main parts: the boring device and the drive. The boring device is coupled by bayonet closure to the main housing (drive). On the boring rod there are six cutting blades, distributed over the circumference, which are firmly soldered onto the upper part of the boring rod. The lower part of the cutting blades is fastened on a displaceable annular disc. By pressing the disc upwards in the axial direction, the peeling blades are forced into an arcuate shape. At the same time, the boring rod, including the peeling blades, rotates, driven by the electric motor. Consequently, the vegetable-like fruit can be hollowed out.
