Device for individually separating rod material, especially pipes, having a lateral feed direction for a multiplicity of rods, a roller train with a plurality of driven rollers and side guide stop as well as a stopper with stopper window disposed behind the roller train in the transport direction. The lateral guide stop points towards the stopper window. The rollers of the roller train are inclined so that they move the rods of the rod material forwards as well as sideways and thus move towards the stopper as well as towards the lateral guide stop. In the top view and against the direction of transport of the roll train, the lateral guide stop extends diagonally outwards from the stopper window. In this manner, even bars of the bar material that are curved through deformation can be individually separated without trouble by the fact that their start is pulled out through the stopper window from the layer. <IMAGE>
