Hair sprays with improved use properties are obtained by including at least 5% by weight, based on the total composition, of a mixture of acetone and at least one propylene glycol monoalkyl ether from the group comprising 1-methoxy-, 1-ethoxy- or 1-n-propyloxy- and/or 1-isopropyloxy-2-propanol in the ratio 1:8 to 8:1.
