<p>High pressure fluid is diverted from the hydraulic lift system of a bucket truck (BT) to operatively load a compression tool (C) by manually actuating a control valve (10) which simultaneously loads the piston (46) of a return line scavenger cylinder (40) with high pressure fluid from the truck hydraulic lift system. This creates a low pressure chamber (50) into which the tool drains off said fluid when the control valve is set in its off position to retract the tool (C). In one embodiment, the pressured fluid which loads the tool (C) is blocked by the control valve (10) when the control valve (10) sets the tool (C) to drain; and in a second embodiment, a differential pressure sensing valve (70) is opened which allows the fluid to flow from the truck supply directly to the return when the control valve (10) is so set. </p> |
