A rotating electrical machine is described, having ventilating channels in an iron core which is constructed as a stator. A separation of the inner end of an air channel piece or of an air channel wall from the internal diameter side of the stator is selected to be equal to the separation of the inner end surface of a stator winding from the internal diameter side of the stator.
