PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic toner having high pressure fixability, flowability and anti-blocking properties by kneading fine powder of a magnetic body with a specified wax and a specified solvent, adding a bad solvent, a charging controller or an electrically conductive agent, and a rigid resin, and carrying out spray drying. CONSTITUTION:Fine powder of a magnetic body is kneaded under heating with a pressure sensitive sticking component selected from low mol.wt. polyethylene wax, paraffin wax and ester wax and a solvent which dissolves the sticking component when heated, and the kneaded material is cooled to deposit unit fine particles of the sticking component contg. the fine magnetic powder. To the resulting dispersion is added a soln. or a suspension consisting of a bad solvent, a charging controller and/or an electrically conductive agent, and a rigid resin. The liq. mixture is spray-dried to obtain a magnetic toner having an anti- blocking coating layer consisting of the charging controller and/or the electrically conductive agent and the rigid resin on the surface of each of pressure fixable particles formed by the aggregation of the unit fine particles. |
