The invention relates to an apparatus for the guidance of one-part or multi-part textile workpieces, especially of blank parts for articles of clothing, which are characterised in that the seam terminates within the workpiece. A known rail-guided drag clamp guides the workpiece to a specific point in front of the press foot. The drag clamp is opened and is retained in a lock.
