Turning and sliding joint, by means of which a heavy holding component, such as a holding plate, subjected to tensile load can be pushed out of a housing and subsequently pivoted, in that a sliding bolt carrying the holding component is displaceable in at least two bearing blocks, connected firmly to one another by means of a tube, and, in the pushed-out state, is secured against being inadvertently pushed in by a return stop having a detent pawl and a detent member interacting with this, a manually actuable release device for the return stop being provided for lifting the detent pawl from the detent member.
