PURPOSE:To form the high molecule piezoelectric body having a large piezoelectric modulus by a method wherein a copolymer film, having poly hydrofluoric vinylidene or hydrofluoric vinylidene as a main component, is extended by partially applying heat using a laser beam, the entire film is extended by shifting the irradiating position on the film of the laser beam, and then a polarization is performed. CONSTITUTION:The laser beams 2 are radiated from a laser beam source 1 through a flat light-guiding path 7 so that the laser beam will spread in uniaxial direction only. After said beams of light have been reflected by a mirror 8, they are converged on a high molecule film 4 by a cylindrical lens 10 and used for heating. The highmolecule film 4 heated by the laser beam is extended by giving a take-up roll 6 a rotation speed 3-5 times faster than that of a feeding roll 5. At the same time, the high molecule film 4 is polarized by the corona discharge generated by the DC voltage applied to the electrode 1 which is arranged in the vicinity of the point of heating. |
