The invention relates to the manufacture of a moulded body made of foamed plastics material, especially a flexible foam moulded body e.g. made of polyurethane. The moulded body has an outer skin (5) made of water-impermeable material in at least some places. The foaming mould (7, 8) is provided with a lining, the foam material is then filled into the foaming mould and adheres strongly to the lining and, following curing of the foam material, the moulded body, including the lining forming the outer skin (5), is removed. A layer forming a water-impermeable film, especially a lacquer, is appplied as a lining to the surface of the foaming mould at the places on the outer skin (5) corresponding to the contours thereof. The foaming mould can be provided beforehand with a release agent. The foaming material is filled in after the film has formed or after the lacquer has dried. <IMAGE>
