PURPOSE:To exactly ensure the rear warning of a running vehicle by using a system in which the presence or absence of obstacles and the direction and distance of the obstacles can be displayed in a switching manner in a detector to detect obstacles behind the vehicle by sending and receiving supersonic waves. CONSTITUTION:When main power source 4 is closed and a gear is set back, CPU 1 becomes a test mode by the detection output of a gear position sensor S1 and the buzzer and lamp of a warning displayer 2 are operated only for a short period of time to check the normality of the device. When the gear is set back continuously, CPU 1 becomes a detection mode and supersonic wave transmitter- receivers TX1-TX2 and RX1-RX2 become operative states. When reflected waves from obstacles O1-O3 are detected, the buzzer sounds and display lamps are all lighted. When a breake is stepped and the switch of an operating device 3 is pushed, calculation is made by CPU 1 and the distance is displayed with 0.1m units on a direction indication lamp. The rare warning of running vehicle can be exactly ensured. |
