The holder for melting crucibles for the protection and purification of metal baths in the vertical Bridgeman zone-melting process carries not only one but a plurality of melting crucibles. To obtain uniform heating in the various melting crucibles when these are lowered inside an HF-coil, the melting crucibles are lowered while rotating side by side.
