PURPOSE:To provide a plate shaped porous electrode necessitating no current supply support member, obtained by a method wherein pervious pores are provided to the entire surface of an electrode plate and the pervious pores of the total peripheral flange part of said electrode plate coming to a hermetically sealed connecting part by a seal member when an electrolytic tank is assembled is closed. CONSTITUTION:Drill pores are applied to the entire surface of a plate shaped electrode matrix material by punching processing to form a plate shaped perforated electrolytic electrode 1. When this electrode plate 1 is assembled in an electrolytic tank, the pervious holes provided to the whole peripheral flange part of the electrode plate is sealed and closed by a seal member 2 and successively clamped by a frame shaped seal 3 comprising the same material as the seal member 2 and an electrolytic frame to form a hermetically sealed connecting part. In this case, the seal member 2 is pref. natural or synthetic resin. By this structure, the disassembling of the electrolytic tank becomes easy and the electrode 1 or a diaphragm can be replaced or repaired at all times. |
