<p>Agent for reducing the replication of malignant cells, esp. for the treatment of certain cancerous tumours and their sequelae, contains as active ingredient acetylene-dicarboxylic acid (Ia) and/or metallic acid (Ib) and/or their functional or homologous derivs. (Ia) and (Ib) or their derivs. are advantageously used in combination with dehydroacetic acid (1-acetyl-3-methylpyrone), tetraconic acid or their homologues or mixts., or with asymmetric dimethylsuccinic acid, citramalic acid or their homologues or mixts. Details of numerous pharmacological and clinical trials demonstrating the activity of (Ia) and (Ib) (alone or in combination with the other acids) are given in the specification.</p> |
