A foot structure, whose feet are adjustable in height and are independent of one another, serves for setting up the bath tub in a stable manner. At their upper end the feet (2) have a plate (7) for engaging below and supporting one corner of the edge of the bath tub in each case. Mounted on the underside of the plate (7) are one or more stops (17) for supporting the plate on the inwardly bent edge of the bath tub. Additionally, the feet have a stop (14) which points towards the bath tub and is supported on the tub when the foot is mounted. The lower end of each foot (2) is connected to the bath tub via a tension strap. The feet are mounted without using special tools since they only need to be suspended below the edge of the tub and they are fixed by a tension strap which likewise only needs to be suspended in a prepared lug on the tub. <IMAGE>
