The wood working machine tool comprises at least one rotating polishing and grinding brush (2) for finishing a workpiece (1), which has an irregular profile or cross-section in longitudinal and in transverse direction. It comprises a horizontally movable slide carriage on which the workpiece is clamped and which is mechanically moved alongside the brush. - The brush is carried (27) on a swivel arm (26) which is moved relative to the work such that it produces the required profile.
