PURPOSE:To mitigate a shock to be applied to the operating piece of a switch even if a handset is placed carelessly on a reception board, by providing a switch cover to the lower side of a dish shaped handset reception plate so that the cover presses the operating piece of the switch. CONSTITUTION:A main body receiving section of a telephone set and a handset section 3 are provided in parallel on the upper side of a base stand 1. The lower side of the handset section 3 is provided with a circuit 5 for an electronic musical box B. Sound output holes of a speaker 6 are exposed at an opening 7 of the handset section 3 and the operating piece 9 of the switch 8 of the circuit 5 is placed in the opening 10 of the section 3. A cylindrical projection 12 is formed to a cap-shaped switch cover and a guard is provided to the outer circumference. When a telephone call comes and the handset is placed on the reception plate 4 from the main body, the switch cover is pressed, the projection 12 presses down the operating piece 9 of the switch 8 to close the circuit 5, allowing to output melody from the speaker 6. |
