PURPOSE:An anti-inflammatory and antiulcer agent, prepared by incorporating L-glutamic acid with a water-soluble azulene in a specific proportion, and capable of exhibiting remarkable drug effect without deteriorating the safety. CONSTITUTION:An anti-inflammatory and antiulcer agent prepared by incorporating L-glutamic acid with water-soluble azulene which are respectively used as a medicinal drug for gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, and gastritis, etc. at (950: 7)-(950:15) mixing ratio. If the amount of the water-soluble azulene is increased beyond the above-mentioned range, the returning phenomenon of the drug effect and the coloring of the urine considered due to the water-soluble azulene are observed. The synergistic effect of both drugs is more effectively developed by administration as an oral agent. |
