<p>PURPOSE:To provide a rolling device which generates an offset between a pair of work rolls and prevents the camber of a rolled material by providing an offset device for moving at least one of a pair of the work rolls in parallel with the traveling direction of the material to be rolled. CONSTITUTION:A material 40 to be rolled is conveyed from a right to left direction between an upper work roll 16 and a lower work roll 18 having the centers coinciding in a vertical direction. The temps. on the top and bottom surfaces of the material 40 are measured with temps. sensor 42, 44 which send detection signals to a control device 50. A thickness detector 46 detects the thickness of the material 40 and sends the detection signal to the device 50. When the device 50 receives the detection signals, the device predicts the rate of camber of the rolled material 40 together with the correction value by the material quality, etc. inputted beforehand thereto and actuates an offset device 26. The bearing box 20 of the upper work roll is laterally moved relatively with the bearing box 22 of the lower work roll. As a result, the chamber in the stage of rolling the material to be rolled is prevented and the various troubles with the chamber are eliminated; furthermore, the unmanned operation of the rolling installation is made possible.</p> |
