PURPOSE:To decrease the shear droop and the ruggedness of ridgelines in the end part of a cut face, by disposing a masking plate formed of a through-hole for a laser beam on the surface of the work and irradiating the laser beam thereto. CONSTITUTION:A masking plate 5 of copper having a circular through-hole 6b is placed on the work W. The work W is moved and a laser beam is irradiated thereto through the hole 6b. The masking plate consists of any among aluminum, copper, a copper alloy, an aluminum alloy and a silver alloy. The diameter of the small hole formed to the masking plate is 0.1-0.5mm. and the thickness of the small hole is 1-4mm.. |
