PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of turbulence noise and deterioration in the efficiency of a blower due to the turbulence noise, by a method wherein a wall is formed on the outside of an impeller with a given distance between the wall and the impeller, and the shape of the wall is formed into a spiral around the center of the impeller. CONSTITUTION:A wall 14 is formed in a spiral around the center of an impeller 5. Air, blown off from the impeller 5 and performing free eddy movement, restores pressure as it is decelerated along the wall 14, and is guided toward a heat exchanger 7. When air blown off from the impeller 5 is thrown in a free space, it performs free eddy movement. Thus, if the wall 14 extended along the flow of the air is formed as a guide wall to the outside, the wall is prevented from impeding the movement of the air; as a result, turbulence of a flow due to friction is prevented from occurring, and the flow of the air decreased in an energy loss and having excellent efficiency can be produced. This constitution enables sharp improvement of the efficiency of a blower, which is heretofore limited owing to noise. |
