1. Connecting element for panels of which the side edges are held in U-shaped receiving clamps which consist in each case of two mutually parallel walls and a connecting web which keeps these spaced apart, the clamps being a assemble together to form a node by which a plurality of panels can be assembled together to form a three-dimensional structure each receiving clamp (1) having associated with it and extending parallel with the connecting web (5) hinge sleeves (12), the axial length of which corresponds to a fraction of the height (h) of the walls (3, 4) measured in the direction of the connecting web and which are adapted to be assembled in alignment with at least one further hinge sleeve (12') of another receiving clamp (2) through a fixing pin (120) which forms the hinge pin (23), characterised in that associated with each receiving clamp (1) there is in each case only one hinge sleeve (12) which is mounted on the connecting web (5) and offset to the hinge sleeve of the other receiving clamp by the amount corresponding to its axial length and in the direction of the hinge axis (23) and in that an axial intermediate space between the hinge sleeves which is created upon assembly is bridged by an inserted intermediate sleeve (20), the dimensions of which correspond to those of the hinge sleeves. |
