PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the measurements of the sizes of the parts on the cross section of a shape steel and the shapes thereof simultaneously, by directing the detecting end of a distance meter toward the central point of rotation, rotating the distance meter around the shape steel, and obtaining distance data and angle data. CONSTITUTION:A tube 10 surrounds an H shape steel 8 and has a concentric double structure. The outer tube body is fixed on a floor by a supporting table 1, and the inner tube body is slidably rotated with respect to the outer tube body. A noncontact distance meter 5 and an angle detector 6, which forms a unitary body with the distance meter, are provided in the outer tube body. The noncontact distance meter 5 is attached so that it is directed toward the center of the tube 10. The inner tube body of the tube 10 is rotated together with the distance meter 5 and the angle detector 6. Then a distance l to the H shape steel 8 and the rotary angle of the distance meter 5 are detected. Thus the sizes and shapes of the parts on the cross section can be simultaneously measured. |
