PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a copying machine by providing a platen under the copying machine so that the platen can be inserted and extracted, and arranging other equipment such as an image-formation exposing means and a photoreceptor in the upper main frame of the machine. CONSTITUTION:A platen unit storage part 3 which has a guide rail and a driving device which allows a platen unit 2 to reciprocate between a position where the unit is inserted completedly under the main machine frame 1 and a position where it is extracted forth from the front surface of the main frame part of a machine housing 1 is provided under the main machine body 1. Copying process equipment such as a sensitive drum 4 and an electrifier 5, exposure optical system 6, developing device 7, transfer charger 8, separating device 9, cleaning unit 10, destaticization device 11, transfer paper feed unit 12, dry fixation unit 13, etc., arranged around the photosensitive drum 4 are provided in the main machine frame 1. |
