PURPOSE:To achieve the exchange of oil at the optimum timing by integration and computation of a function of deterioration to enable the determination of the oil exchange timing from a coefficient of deterioration detected corresponding to various deterioration factors of the engine oil. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus comprises a sensor 10 for detecting a coefficient of deterioration corresponding to various deterioration factors of the engine oil, a computation unit 12 for integration and computation of a function of deterioration having as parameter coefficients of deterioration obtained from detection signals of the sensor 10 and an oil exchange display 14 adapted to perform a display for oil exchange whenever the value computed with the device 12 exceeds the set reference value. In this apparatus, the oil exchange timing can be determined by integration and computation of a function of deterioration from coefficients of deterioration detected corrsponding to varioud deterioration factors of the engine oil thereby enabling the oil exchange at the optimum timing. This eliminates such a irrational completely that the engine oil is exchanged after excessive deterioration or before actual deterioration. |
