发明名称 METHOD FOR REMOVING MAGNESIUM FROM MOLTEN ALUMINUM
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To remove efficiently, easily and inexpensively the magnesium components in molten aluminum, by charging chloride resin materials such as waste PVC materials or the like into the molten aluminum. CONSTITUTION:Chloride resins of waste materials such as PVC, vinylidene chloride, or the like are broken to fine pieces and are charged by using a phosphorizing into molten aluminum to be used for aluminum die casting or the like. The PVC materials, etc, decompose in the molten aluminum and generate gaseous chlorine which acts to form MgCl2 by the reaction Mg+Cl2 MgCl2, Al+ Cl2 AlCl3, AlCl3+Mg MgCl2+Al. The magnesium chloride formed by the reaction floats on the surface of the molten aluminum. If the magnesium chloride is scooped away, the magnesium components incorporated in the molten aluminum are removed. The carbides in the resultant product of decomposition of the PVC, etc. remain roughly in the original form in the phosphorizer to some extent.</p>
