PURPOSE:To enable to recognize a data input condition at a glance, by a method wherein data which can not be printed in the same line are blinkingly displayed when changing over from the first mode for displaying input data to the second or third mode for printing. CONSTITUTION:A controller so functions that input data from a keyboard 1 are sequentially displayed on a display device 21 in the first mode selected by a mode change-over switch 18, the data displayed are shifted out and printed in the second mode, and the input data are simultaneously displayed and printed in the third mode. When shifting from the first mode to the second or the third mode by changing over the switch 18, the contents of a data counter and a right margin memory means are compared with each other, and the data which can not be printed in the same line are blinkingly displayed on the display device 21. Accordingly, the operator can recognize the data input condition at a glance, and operability can be enhanced. |
