PURPOSE:To raise the operability of a pen type recorder by a method in which a rotary drum is intermittently turned by operating an intermittent rotary means at any position of the carriage of an X-Y plotter, etc., and a selected pen means is faced an extruding means. CONSTITUTION:When printing is made by changing colors, even when a carriage 5 is situated at any position of guide shafts 3 and 4, the head of a rotary lever is pushed down by an actuator by supplying electric current to a plunger for selecting pen as it is, and the guide shaft 3 is turned. By the rotation, the first lever 29 for exchanging pens is also turned, and at its tip 29a, the inclined face 30b of the second lever 30 for exchanging pens is strongly pushed and turned around a support shaft 31 against a spring 34, and the tip 30c is coupled with the next gear of a ratchet 33. When electrification is off, a rotary drum 12 is turned through a fixed angle by the spring 34. The operations are repeated given times to position a desired pen means 17 at the uppermost stage of the rotary drum 12 in the face of the hammer 19. The operability of the pen type recorder can be raised and its miniaturization can also be attained. |
