PURPOSE:To simplify an operation, by incorporating each detecting mechanism of displacement and load in a hardness meter, simplifying the structure, improving detection accuracy and also, performing operations from pressing of a sample to loading of a real load only by lowering a beam along a main body of the hardness meter. CONSTITUTION:After a sample B to be measured is placed on a sample receiving stand 2,a supporting board 5 is lowered at high speed at first and speed of a motor is decreased at the place where the lower end of a sample pressing part 15 is approached near the surface of the sample 13 and the supporting board 5 is lowered at low speed. A coupling board 26 is separated from a supporting part 28 in case when the lower end of the pressing part 15 is brought into contact with the surface of the sample 13 and the energized force by a spring 8 is increased by a lever 7 and is given to the sample 13. A load cell 10 is brought into contact with a load shaft 19 when the supporting board 15 is further lowered, and an output of a displacement gauge 9 is varied simultaneously as the load is applied to the sample 13. |
