These tyres are provided with a belt and are of two-layered design in the area above the belt with the formation of a base and a cap forming the tread. In order to ensure in the case of different wear states of its tread the tyre receives special properties in case it is designed as a winter tyre and is partially worn out, the dividing surface between the base and the cap is laid in such a way that it is situated above the base of the profile depressions. Thus, the part of the base projecting into the tread elements can form an advantageous summer tread in particular if the base has a higher degree of grip in wet conditions than the cap and in particular is also designed to be harder than the cap.
