In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), a release coat may be provided between the base sheet and adhesive layer. The colour of the adhesive layer is such that it contrasts with that of the opaque layer, so that when pressure is applied to the plastics layer, the opaque layer is made transparent and reveals the coloured adhesive layer. The plastics layer may be polyvinyl chloride, regenerated cellulose, or polyethylene. The opaque coating may be of conventional type. The adhesive may be of the pressure-sensitive, heat-activatable, or waterremoistenable type. The base sheet may be made of paper, plastics, or cloth. |
