A machine for manufacturing products such as construction elements formed by the agglomeration of an earth-based material comprises, in particular, a frame 104, 106 to which a horizontal compression plate 132 is fixed and which supports a supply chamber 95 for the material to be compressed. A horizontally movable unit is formed from a mould 140 with a vertical wall 154, inside which mould a piston 156 moves vertically under the action of a jack 160. The unit 140, 160 is displaced horizontally by an actuator 204 between a first position in which the product from the supply chamber 95 flows into the mould, and then into a second position in which this product is compressed between the piston 156 and the compression plate 132. In a third position, in which the opening of the mould is triggered, the product can be ejected by the piston 156. <IMAGE>
