PURPOSE:To perform stable waveform observation, by providing a detecting element for an electric field, magnetic field, or electromagnetic wave such as a coil and a photodetecting element closely to a device whose waveform is to be observed. CONSTITUTION:A TV receiver 1 is used as the device whose signal waveform of a color signal, etc., is to be observed. A detector 3 detects an external trigger signal from the receiver 1 to supply it to the external trigger terminal of an oscilloscope 2; a detection part 4 is provided to one terminal of a coaxial cable 5 and a connector 6 to be connected to a terminal of the oscilloscope 2 is provided to the other terminal. The detection part 4 includes the coil 8 for detection in a case 7 made of synthetic resin which allows an electromagnetic wave to pass. The detection part 4 of the detector 3 is put close to the cabinet of the receiver 1 to detect a leakage magnetic field from a deflecting coil of the receiver 1. Its detected pulse signal is supplied as a trigger signal to the oscilloscope 2 to observe the waveform of the color signal stably. |
