PURPOSE:To obtain a beautiful looking three-dimensional foamed film simultaneously with stamping, by a method wherein a releasable layer is provided on one side of a base sheet, a pattern layer of a foamable resin is provided thereon either directly or through a protective layer, and a contact layer is provided thereon to produce a three-dimensional transfer foil. CONSTITUTION:The releasable layer 2 consisting of a cellulosic polymer, an acrylic polymer or the like and having a thickness of 0.01-2mu is provided on the base sheet 1 consisting of a plastic film such as a polyester film. The protective layer 3 consisting of a thermosetting or thermoplastic resin and having a thickness of 1-3mu is provided on the releasable layer 2, if required, then a heat- formable resin such as a microcapsule foamable material is applied thereon by gravure printing to provide the foamable resin layer 4 having a thickness of 2- 50mu, and the contact layer 5 consisting of a synthetic rubber or the like and having a thickness of 1-10mu is provided thereon to produce the three-dimensional transer foil. When the transfer foil is subjected to a transferring operation, the foamable resin layer is foamed by the heat of a heated roll to produce a three- dimensional pattern. |
