Machine for picking up fruit from the ground. A compressed-air source 2A is associated with an inclined sheath 4A terminating in an orifice near the ground and spaced by a gap 8A from an inclined ramp 6A followed by a fruit-receiving means 12A; the ramp 6A is articulated about a transverse axis so as to rise as it passes over the fruit, and then these are driven by the airstream onto the ramp 6A up to the receiving means 12A. <IMAGE>
