Gripper for stacks of bricks

A gripper for stacks of bricks consists of gripping jaws which are arranged on gripping arms and take hold of the lowermost layer of the bricks in the stacks. The gripping jaws are subdivided into individual pressure plates and are moved by pressure cylinders. The pressure plates are each fastened to pressure segments which are arranged in a sliding manner in guide boxes located in the gripping jaws. A receiving block is arranged in each case inside the pressure segments. The receiving block is provided with several pressure cylinders, the forces of which are orientated half in one direction, half in the opposite direction. Return springs return the pressure plates back into the inoperative position.
