A retaining device (10) to retain material (19) against the surface of a wall comprises a longitudinal body (14, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24) formed with a head portion (11) on one end to retain the material (19). Flexible fingers (12, 13) extend outwardly from the body (14, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24) at an angle and allow insertion of the device into a drilled hole (18) in the wall. The retaining device (10) is retained in the hole (18) in the wall by the fingers (12, 13) which prevent extraction. |
