The basic design of the tent, consisting of a plurality of individual parts connected to one another in a rain-tight manner, includes two individual end sides consisting in the front view of a rectangular base with an adjoining roof-shaped upper part and a standard tent awning serving as a covering. This standard tent awning covers the roof-shaped upper part, the vertical side walls between the rectangular bases of the end sides, and the base. Arranged on the roof-shaped upper part is an additional surface which can be folded over and is congruent with the roof-shaped upper part. By means of the invention, it is possible to achieve an increase in the usable tent outline area with few individual parts in an extremely simple manner. The width of the tent can be doubled by arranging two additional individual end sides of a basic design.
