PURPOSE:To enhance the degree of sticking of the packing coated with sealing agent hermetically to the negative electrode case of the captioned battery, by pressing the packing and the negative electrode case in order to hermetically stick them to each other through the sealing agent before the dissolved or softened sealing agent is cured. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode case 2 and a packing 3 which are fitted to each other are placed in the furnace or the heater at the temperature of about 120-200 deg.C, and films 9, 9' of the sealing agent are dissolved or softened. When an asphalt series compound is used as the sealing agent and forced to pass through a tunnel furnace spending a time of 4-6hr, the films of the sealing agent are softened. And when films 9, 9' of the sealing agent are just softened or dissolved, the negative electrode case 2 is pushed to the packing 3 by the pressure of 2-5kg/cm<2> and cooled. Thus the sealing agent is cured and the fitting process of the negative electrode case to the packing is completed. |
