Passenger vehicle for mining railway trains, in particular for mining railway trains which are operated with a reversible direction of travel. The passenger vehicle has an air changing device which has fresh air inlet openings and air outlet openings. The air changing device is provided with at least one propeller fan which sucks in fresh air and forces it into the passenger vehicle. The air outlet openings are located in the underpressure region of the passenger vehicle body due to ram air. In this way, an intensive exchange of air with an ergonomically pleasant slight overpressure in the interior of the passenger vehicle body is obtained. The drive of the propeller fan can be derived via a gear from a running wheel of the passenger vehicle, the gear being constructed so as to be capable of being shifted or as a rectifier gear in passenger vehicles which are operated with reversible direction of travel. <IMAGE>
