The invention relates to a device for winding filamentary products, such as electrical lines, cables, ropes, wires or flexible tubes. Known types of winders for products of this kind can only take one coil former at a time. Winders with a plurality of coil formers constructed according to the prior art are provided with a plurality of supporting arms to receive the coil formers. This invention relates to a winding device in which a single supporting arm carries a plurality of coil formers, which are overhung in each case at the end of the supporting arm and are connected to a motor drive via power transmission elements working jointly or independently of one another. The special advantages of the invention are the low cost and ease of construction of the device and the small amount of space which it requires.
