PURPOSE:To obtain a picture which excels in color reproducibility even though a color complementary filter is used to a green filter, by performing the signal processing after amplifying the green signal obtained from a solid-state image pickup element larger than other signals. CONSTITUTION:The sigals W and G which are obtained alternately with switching performed by switches 24 and 25 for each pictur element are added together at an adder circuit 28. At the same time signals Ye and Cy are added together at an adder circuit 29. These added signals are supplied alternately to an LPF33 via an adder circuit 30 to obtain a luminance signal Y. In this case, the signal G is previously amplified. While for the color signals, the signal W and the signal G amplified by an amplifier 27 are fed to a subtractor circuit 32 to obtain a signal R+B. Then signals Ye and Cy are fed to a subtractor circuit 34 to obtain a signal R-B. These two signals are supplied to the circuit 34 and an adder circuit 35 respectively, and signals B and R are obtained from the outputs of the circuits 34 and 35 via LPF36 and 37 respectively. |
