Tool for taking hold of a prismatic body of regular, polygonal cross-section, which tool consists of a body in which a receptacle is formed which corresponds to the prismatic body and accommodates the same with a certain clearance, characterised in that the receptacle has a generally polygonal cross-section and that its sides are formed by an interrupted line with two end segments, the extensions of which run together attached to one another from the corner of the polygon to the interior of the receptacle, each segment forming an angle to the side of the regular polygon, which angle essentially corresponds to the angle through which the body can rotate in the receptacle on account of the clearance available.
