In the process for producing composite mouldings from a textile floor covering and a plastics foam body adhering to this on one side, especially for use in motor vehicles, the floor covering is preformed and inserted in the form of a lining into a mould determining the form of the composite moulding. A foamable plastics mixture is applied in a substantially pressureless manner, within the cavity of the mould, onto the floor covering which has no barrier layer. The further plastics feed and foaming are also carried out in a substantially pressureless manner. The outer contour of the foam body is shaped by a counter-mould placed over the mould whilst leaving open air passage openings.
