Tapered roll of a planetary skew-rolling mill, which comprises a main body and a head part mounted on the latter and connected detachably to it. The main body (3) is provided with a tapered journal (13) on which the head part (14), which has a tapered bore corresponding to the tapered journal (13) of the main body, is mounted, the internal taper of the head part (14) corresponding to the external taper approximately defined by the deformation zone and, for connecting the main body (3) and the head part (14), the tapered journal (13) of the main body (3) and the tapered bore of the head part (14) furthermore being provided with a tapered thread. The tapered journal (13) for receiving the head part (14) can be formed directly on the roll shaft, making the latter simultaneously the main body. To compensate the amount by which the head part is dressed, main bodies (3) of different axial lengths can be used interchangeably with head parts (14) which have been dressed to different extents, or tapered bushes having internal and external threads corresponding to the threads on the tapered journal (13) and in the bore of the head part (14) can be inserted between the tapered journal (13) and the head part (14). <IMAGE>
