A video D/A converter consists of two chips, one chip having driver stages (G5 to G8) with true output and the other chip having driver stages (G1 to G4) with inverse output. One driver stage of one chip and one driver stage of the other chip in each case form one channel. The driver stage of one channel is connected together at the input and output end and connected at the output end via an emitter resistor (RE1 to RE4) to voltage potential. The A/D converter has separate channels for at least two picture information items, synchronisation pulses and blanking pulses. The aggregate current formed at the emitter resistors (RE1 to RE4) is picked up as analog voltage value at the video output (A1, A2) of the A/D converter. <IMAGE>
