Vacuum tube for reading images in liquid-crystal cells

摘要

An electron beam which is emitted by an electron gun reads a charge pattern in a vacuum bulb into the rearside of a liquid-crystal cell and in this way generates an electro-optical effect which makes it possible to read images. This method makes possible especially the construction of projection receivers.
